Robot Heroes Rodimus Prime

Well, technically it's just Hot Rod with the Matrix, but if you've seen the animated Transformers movie you get the idea. I sliced the hands off Optimus Prime (with Matrix), repainted the Matrix and hands, and glued them onto Hot Rod. Now he and Robot Heroes Galvatron can due battle under Armada Unicron.

Robot Heroes Grimlock [pre-earth mode]

This custom is inspired primarily by Grimlock's appearance in the War Within storyline. In order to make Grimlock in his pre-earth/Cybertronian mode I removed his dinosaur parts (including his dinosaur head, arms, and feet), and added treads and two turrets on his back. I also painted his head completely black. The treads came from a knock-off Constructicon, and the turrets are from Engergon Sharkticon. I decided not to repaint the entire figure, but maybe I will someday. Enjoy!

My fingers are still crossed for an official Menasor, but I'm content for now. To create Drag Strip, Mirage's body was cut in half and the torso rotated 180 degrees. The third of my Stunticon customs. Dead End was my first experiment in really reworking an existing mold. Those of you who are familiar with Robot Heroes Jazz will notice that his chest has been flattened, and his doors cut off and glued to his arms. His head was also shaved down.

This is a knock-off Megatron from the Robots in Disguise line. He isn't painted to look like any character in particular, just a bad ass. He has a few scratches, the result of several moves over the years.

This Beast Machines Optimus Primal Knock-off came from Big Lots. He looked pretty hideous in his original colors so I painted him to look more show accurate.

RID Megatron

Megatron is a repaint of RID Bludgeon. The original figure was very similar to Megatron's G2 appearance, but I have applied a G1 paint scheme. Bludegon's rockets and rocket launcher attachment have been used to create Megatron's arm cannon. I didn't realize until I photographed him that a few yellow spots remain. Oops.

Energon Galvatron

Galvatron is a repaint of Energon Megatron (from the Prime/Megatron two-pack). His wings have been removed to increase his similarity to his original cartoon appearance.

Shockini Strong Bad

My first Shockini custom, though it wasn't much different than working with a Cuboyds figure. Strong Bad has won over the hearts of millions, or at least dozens, and now he sits atop my TV in all his action figure-y glory! His recipe is at the end of the post.

Recipe

Strong Bad is a standard Shockini with one of the leg joints and hands removed to make him his beautiful, oddly proportioned self. The connecting nubs on his arm joints were removed and glued on to make his thumbs. His face was printed and decoupaged on. This was my first attempt at using decoupage, but it turned out alright.

Xevoz Bludgeon
