Robot Heroes Rhinox [pre-earth mode]

Movie Ironhide was the perfect figure to represent Rhinox and his twin chain guns of doom. He's based off a combination of his original show appearance and his 2006 Botcon exclusive figure. His recipe is at the end of the post.

Recipe

  • Energon Strongarms' head

  • Movie Ironhide's body and arms

Robot Heroes Rodimus Prime

Well, technically it's just Hot Rod with the Matrix, but if you've seen the animated Transformers movie you get the idea. I sliced the hands off Optimus Prime (with Matrix), repainted the Matrix and hands, and glued them onto Hot Rod. Now he and Robot Heroes Galvatron can due battle under Armada Unicron.

Robot Heroes Dinobot [pre-earth mode]

Dinobot's pre-earth mode is based off a combination of his show appearance and his 2006 Botcon exclusive figure. I tried to tone down the use of blue, though. His recipe is at the end of the post.

Recipe

  • Movie Optimus Prime's head

  • Movie Bonecrusher's body and arms

Robot Heroes Megatron [pre-earth mode]

Continuing the trend of converting the movie based Robot Heroes into Beast Wars characters, here we have Megatron in his pre-earth mode. He's based off a combination of his original show appearance, and his 2006 Botcon exclusive figure. His recipe is at the end of the post.

Recipe

  • Ultra Magnus' head [modified]

  • Movie Brawl's body and arms [modified]

Robot Heroes Grimlock [pre-earth mode]

This custom is inspired primarily by Grimlock's appearance in the War Within storyline. In order to make Grimlock in his pre-earth/Cybertronian mode I removed his dinosaur parts (including his dinosaur head, arms, and feet), and added treads and two turrets on his back. I also painted his head completely black. The treads came from a knock-off Constructicon, and the turrets are from Engergon Sharkticon. I decided not to repaint the entire figure, but maybe I will someday. Enjoy!

Robot Heroes Wildrider

Wildrider was one of the first Stunticons to be completed, but the last to be posted. His recipe is at the end of the post.

Recipe

  • Head is from one of the RID Build Team members

  • Hot Rod's body [with modifications]

  • Hot Rod's Arms [with modifications]

  • Doors are taken from a Knockoff Protectobot

Robot Heroes Goldbug

Goldbug, Bumblebee's upgraded form from the original cartoon. His recipe is at the end of the post.

  • Soundwave's head [with modifications]

  • Soundwave's arms

  • Bumblebee's body

  • "Hood" is cut from Action Master Blaster's body [he was already sacrificed to make Blaster.

Robot Heroes Blaster

Blaster was one of my first Robot Heroes customs, created long before Hasbro announced an official version. As one of my favorite characters, I knew I had to make him. You will find his recipe at the end of the post.

Recipe

  • Action Master Blaster head

  • Bumblebee's arms

  • Soundwave's body

  • Speakers are cut from Action Master Blaster

Robot Heroes Drag Strip

With the completion of Drag Strip, I now have a complete team of Robot Heroes Stunticons [Wildrider's pics will be posted soon]. My fingers are still crossed for an official Menasor, but I'm content for now. To create Drag Strip, Mirage's body was cut in half and the torso rotated 180 degrees. His recipe is at the end of the post.

Recipe for Drag Strip

  • Jazz's Head [modified]

  • Mirage's Arms [with tires added from a knock-off Drag Strip]

  • Mirage's Body [heavily modified]

Robot Heroes Dead End

The third of my Stunticon customs. Dead End was my first experiment in really reworking an existing mold. Those of you who are familiar with Robot Heroes Jazz will notice that his chest has been flattened, and his doors cut off and glued to his arms. His head was also shaved down.

Robot Heroes Breakdown

With the completion of Breakdown, my Robot Heroes Stunticons are one step closer to completion. His recipe is located at the end of the post.

Update - I've corrected the color of Breakdown's face! Only the first image has been updated.

Recipe

  • Bumblebee's head [slightly modified]

  • Bumblebee's arms

  • Jazz's body [modified]

  • Doors, chest pieces, and spoiler are all from a knockoff Breakdown

Robot Heroes Waspinator [pre-earth mode]

I wasn't a big fan of the Movie Robot Heroes until I realized they could be transformed (get it) into Beast Wars characters in their pre-Earth modes. Below is my pre-Earth Beast Wars Waspinator. He's based off a combination of his original show appearance, and his 2006 Botcon exclusive figure. His recipe is located at the end of the post.

[and thanks to my wife's new high quality camera for showing me that he still needs some touch-ups]

Recipe

  • Movie Bumblebee's Head

  • Movie Starscream's Arms

  • Movie Starscream's Body

Robot Heroes Optimus Primal [pre-earth mode]

I wasn't a big fan of the Movie Robot Heroes until I realized they could be transformed (get it) into Beast Wars characters in their pre-Earth modes. Below is my pre-Earth Beast Wars Optimus Primal, a straight repaint of Protoform Jazz. He's based off a combination of his original show appearance, and his 2006 Botcon exclusive figure.
